Med-View Airline has explained why it has not been able to operate for some months at the Ilorin International Airport. Findings by this medium revealed that the airline's last flight operation in Ilorin was in December, 2017. Pilot Aviation learnt that the airline has not given formal explanation for the suspension of operation at the airport. When contacted, Med-View Media Consultant, Mr. Obuke Oyibotha said that the airline reviewed its operation from time to time and thus decides which airport to fly to at a particular time which is part of the planning schedule."The airline has the right (not to operate) and can review its flight operation at any time. There is no other reason for the decision. It is just the planning schedule. "At a point, the airline may decide not to go to a particular airport or any region at a point in time. So it is not for any other reason than planning for successful operation," he divulged. When asked when flight operation of the airline will resume at the airport, he said , "At the appropriate time we would be there." Recall that Med-view Airline began flight operations to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on July 10, 2017 and operates three flights a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays enroute Ilorin to Abuja and to Lagos.
