A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje has described the death of one of the elders of All Progressives Congress in Kwara State, Alhaji Oba Obalanta as a colossal loss to the ruling party as the next year's polls is around the corner. Alhaji Baraje who extolled the virtues of the late politician and his contributions to political arena in a statement issued from his media office in Ilorin, said Alhaji Oba Bolanta would be missed in the political circle. The APC Chieftain said the late politician who is one of the foremost and grassroot politicians in the state died at a period when the state and particularly the party would need his services more. He explained that his elderly advice, ideas, encouragement and mentorship would be missed in the APC family in the state, noting that the late politician never engaged in dirty politics during his lifetime which made him a role model to crop of young politicians. The leader of nPDP said the late grassroot politician's achievements and success in the political arena as a dependable ally of late Olusola Saraki speak volume of his character and zeal for politics which made him stand firm among his colleagues Alhaji Baraje commiserated with the President of the Senate, Doctor Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Emir of Ilorin, entire family of Bolanta, leaders and members of the APC in the state over the great loss.
