Kwara PDP mourns death of Assembly member

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mourned the death of a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, representing Patigi State Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Saidu Rufai.

The late lawmaker reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin after a brief illness.

In a condolence message signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, the Kwara PDP described the death of Honourable Rufai as tragic, shocking and unfortunate.

"The party commiserates with the family and friends of the deceased lawmaker, his constituency, Patigi, his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC and the State House of Assembly.

'We pray to Almighty God to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and admit him into paradise. We also pray to Him to grant the bereaved family, friends, colleagues, associates and loved ones the fortitude to bear this huge loss."
